Officer shoots teen who charges at him with knife

Officer Krakow of Wisconsin Rapids police was responding to a disturbance in August 2010 when he encountered a suspect who refused to drop his knife. Krakow is seen confronting then-16-year-old Pao Khang. Loudly and clearly -"Get on the ground. Drop the knife," he says. He is heard repeating the command several times.

Krakow ordered another officer to Taser Khang when the teen charged at Krakow, and was shot twice. Khang, now 18, was charged with reckless endangerment, obstructing an officer, and several other crimes. Found guilty in August, he received a 5-year sentence and is not eligible for early release programs said.
